The pubs on Inis Oírr are part of the island experience rather than a separate nightlife district. Everything is close enough to reach on foot from the harbour area, and an evening here is more about conversation, food and occasional traditional music than a late-night city-style bar crawl.

Tigh Ned
Tigh Ned is one of the best-known pubs on Inis Oírr and sits close to the harbour. It is a natural first stop for many visitors because it combines an island-pub atmosphere with food and a location that is easy to reach after arriving.
Opening times and food service can change with the season, so avoid building a very tight itinerary around a specific serving time. On busy summer days, arriving outside the main lunch rush can make the visit more relaxed.
Tigh Ruairí
Tigh Ruairí combines a pub, food and accommodation in one place. It is another useful option if you are staying overnight because you can settle into the evening without worrying about transport back across the island.

Inisheer Hotel bar
Óstán Inis Oírr also has a bar and restaurant, giving overnight visitors another evening option. The atmosphere on the island changes noticeably after the day-trippers leave, so staying overnight is worthwhile if pubs and local evenings are an important part of your trip.
Traditional music on Inis Oírr
Traditional music sessions are seasonal and should not be treated as a guaranteed nightly event. In summer and around festivals, the chance of finding live music is much higher. Our separate music and culture guide to Inis Oírr covers the wider island scene.
