Deciding where to stay on Inis Oírr can change the island experience completely. Staying overnight means that once the main day-trip ferries have gone, the island becomes quieter and there is more time for an evening walk, a pub visit and a slower morning before the next wave of visitors arrives.

Óstán Inis Oírr
Óstán Inis Oírr is the island’s main hotel option, with rooms, restaurant and bar. Its location near the village makes it convenient if you want a straightforward stay without needing to organise transport after dinner.
Tigh Ruairí
Tigh Ruairí combines guest accommodation with food and a pub. For visitors who want to stay close to the social centre of the island, this all-in-one setup is especially practical.
B&B and guesthouse options
Inis Oírr also has smaller B&Bs and guesthouses, including names such as South Aran House, Lios Éinne and Shamrock House. Availability can be limited in summer, so an overnight trip is something to plan earlier than a simple day visit.
Camping and budget stays
Camping is another option for visitors who want a simpler stay. As with all island accommodation, check the conditions, facilities and seasonal availability before travelling rather than assuming walk-in space will be available.
Where should you stay?
If you want pubs and food nearby, the village area is the easiest choice. If your priority is quiet and scenery, a smaller B&B away from the pier can feel more peaceful. Because the island is compact, most locations are still manageable on foot for travellers with light luggage.
