Where to eat on Inis Mór depends largely on your route. Cill Rónáin has the biggest concentration of restaurants and pubs, while the western side of the island has useful food stops around Cill Mhuirbhigh and Dún Aonghasa.
Cill Rónáin
The main village is the easiest place for breakfast, coffee, lunch or dinner before and after a ferry. Options include casual cafés, seafood-focused menus, pub food and the restaurant at the Aran Islands Hotel.

Joe Watty’s
Joe Watty’s is one of the island’s best-known pub-and-food stops and is also associated with traditional music. It works particularly well for visitors staying overnight or returning to Cill Rónáin after a day exploring the island.
Teach Nan Phaidi
Near Cill Mhuirbhigh and Dún Aonghasa, Teach Nan Phaidi is a useful lunch stop if your day is focused on the western side of Inis Mór. It reduces the need to return to the harbour area simply to eat.
Hotel and village dining
The Aran Islands Hotel and other village restaurants give overnight visitors more choice in the evening. Seasonal opening matters on an island, so have a backup plan outside the busiest summer period.
Planning food on a day trip
Carry water and a snack if you are cycling or walking long distances. Do not leave your only meal plan until just before the return ferry, especially if your route has taken you far from Cill Rónáin.
